GIUGIARO DESIGN est une société du groupe Italdesign-Giugiaro, fondée par GIORGETTO GIUGIARO en 1981.

Entre autres réalisations, elle a dessiné la ligne MONTE CARLO de HOPPE.

"Drawing inception from a well-balanced and, as such, not aggressive, family of door handles, the Monte Carlo door knob is designed to capture limelight when displayed at showrooms and, not least, when installed and used in commercial and household environments.

When viewed frontward at the height of a child, the Monte Carlo door knob takes almost the shape, at first sight, of a “forged sword” – a katana. However, when viewed from above and astride, the Monte Carlo door knob takes the shape of an imposing hand palm, rim-chiseled for enhanced thumb-grip.

The door knob range stretches out to embrace versions with titanium, brass and chrome finish. Surfacing treatment differentiates for certain models : the main structure is glazed, whilst the longitudinal hollow remains shiny. The contrast endows the door knob with a decidedly pleasing-to-the-eye originality and refinement."
